Outside of academics I'm active in sports (primarily soccer and basketball).  Growing up I played sports at a very competitive level which taught me a lot about teamwork, dedication, time management, commitment, and effort.

I've always been a fast learner and interested in a variety of things including the outdoors, carpentry and construction, boating, fishing, and other activities. 

As an individual, I believe anyone, including myself, is capable of solving the worlds most complex problems, because ultimatly the world will need to have pressing issues resolved or else humanity will face devastating consequences. Thus, nothing is above my technical capabilities and it is this mindset that motivates me to tackle some of the hardest obstacles our world faces.
